Coronavirus Update

Sea View Snugs

We are excited to announce that we are reopening our Sea View Snugs on 3rd July 2020, and our reservations teams are now taking bookings.

We have been working hard to welcome you back safely and to ensure your stay complies with the latest government guidance

We want to reassure all our guests and staff that safety is our absolute priority during this time. We have been reviewing all aspects of the business and have developed new approaches to our services to ensure guests and team safety is a priority.

We have increased cleaning measures including use of a high-grade disinfectant spray which will be used on every surface in the Snug. This spray also works on fabrics such as duvets and soft furnishings.  Our staff will be provided with face masks and gloves to wear and we’ll be asking guests to strip the beds at the end of their stay and place them on the floor, this is to ensure the safety of our staff.

In addition to these changes, we are completing ongoing risk assessments and are confident we can open in compliance with government social distancing rules.

Our food and drink team have been working hard to develop a plan to ensure there is minimum contact.  If included in your booking, a breakfast hamper will be brought to your door and there will be a takeaway evening menu.

For further details on our changes to guest and staff safety, please get in touch and we’d be happy to share.

If any of our guests or team feel unwell or have any Covid-19 symptoms, we will ask them to stay at home and follow self-isolation procedures. We will move your stay to another date once you are symptom free.

We look forward to welcoming back our guests from 3rd July.

GG’s YardLogo

On Friday 20th March, the UK Government announced that all Restaurants & Bars were to close.  This meant that we would be unable to serve our customers, so we took the decision to temporarily suspend events at GG’s Yard. This isn’t an easy time for anyone and as you can imagine, we have been inundated with clients getting in touch to discuss their event with us.  We have the utmost sympathy for couples who have been planning their big day with us for years, but the safety of you, our team and our community are of the utmost importance to us.

We are currently working with clients who have events booked between now and 01.06.20 giving them the opportunity to postpone to later this year or early next year.  Every following Monday, subject to the current UK situation, we will then be in touch with clients who have events booked between 02.06.20 and 09.06.20 and we will continue to work on this basis every week.  It is our aim to resume normal operations as quickly as we safely can and in line with Government guidelines.

Some of our team are still here in the office, to continue planning your events with the belief that your event will go ahead. Vicki is available to undertake Skype or Facetime tours of the venue and discuss options for new clients.  Alternatively, here is the link to a virtual tour, which is the next best option to actually coming here. https://youtu.be/Bh5e9f1ATt0

As a business, we are strong and by following we will rise from this and throw one hell of a party.

We wish you all the very best in the weeks and months ahead.
